Ordinary heaters work by convection or conduction - they heat the air which then heats you. This type of heater instantly begins to heat you at the flick of a switch, which is much more efficient than gas, plus no bottles to change & no fire risks. At $0.19 Kw/hr this will cost $0.46 per hour, which if you are only using it for a short time, (i.e. most family patios), is a small cost with no maintinence & no lost space as they are mounted up out of the way.
Two of these units will heat a six seat outdoor setting. Please ring the shop if you if you are unsure about installations.
